Acceptable Use Policy

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to every business using Tahlib and to all of its Users.

1. Unlawful and harmful use
Do not use the Services to:
- break any law or regulation, including food, tax, consumer protection, employment and data protection law;
- sell or promote goods or services that are illegal where you operate them;
- commit fraud, launder money, evade tax, or disguise the true nature of a transaction;
- take payments for anything other than the genuine goods and services of the restaurant whose account it is;
- publish content that is defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, threatening, or that infringes someone else’s rights, including in menus, images and replies to reviews;
- impersonate another business or person, or misrepresent prices, allergens or ingredients.
2. Messages to guests
- Send marketing messages by WhatsApp, SMS or email only to guests who have agreed to receive them, and stop when a guest asks.
- Follow WhatsApp’s Business and Commerce policies, and the messaging rules of the countries your guests are in.
- Do not import lists of phone numbers or emails that were not collected lawfully for that purpose.
3. Personal and biometric data
- Collect only the personal data you need, and tell people what you collect and why.
- Enrol an employee for face attendance only with their informed, explicit consent, and never use attendance photos or templates for any other purpose.
- Do not use the Services to track, profile or monitor people in ways they would not reasonably expect, or to store payment card numbers, identity document numbers or passwords in free-text fields.
4. Security and platform integrity
Do not:
- access or try to access another customer’s account or data, or probe, scan or test the security of the Services without our written permission;
- interfere with the Services, introduce malware, or place an unreasonable load on them, including through automated scripts or scraping;
- get around usage limits, rate limits, entitlements or billing, or share one paid subscription across businesses or Locations it does not cover;
- resell, sublicense or white-label the Services without an agreement with us;
- copy, reverse engineer or build a competing product from the Services, except as the law expressly allows.
If you find a security vulnerability, please report it privately to hello@tahlib.app. We will not take action against good-faith research that respects other customers’ data and stops once a problem is found.
5. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may remove content, limit features or suspend the account to the extent needed, and will tell you why unless the law or the circumstances prevent us. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to termination under the Terms. We may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
