Rider Dispatch · UAE & GCC

Delivery Management for Restaurants With Their Own Riders

When a delivery order is ready, it joins the dispatch queue on its own. You hand it to an available rider in two clicks, the rider gets a notification on their phone, and every step from pickup to the photo at the door is recorded — without a single call to ask where the order is.

  • Ready delivery orders queue for dispatch automatically
  • One board for the queue, the riders and the runs in progress
  • A rider app with maps, a call button and a photo at the door

A delivery from the kitchen to the door, and the board that runs it.

More than a phone and a notebook

Your own riders, without the phone calls

Most restaurants with their own riders dispatch by shouting across the pass and following up by phone. Nobody knows which rider has which order until somebody calls.

Dispatch by phone

  1. Shout the order
  2. Write the rider’s name down
  3. Call to ask where they are

Two riders head for the same order and one waits for an order that went out ten minutes ago. When a guest says it never arrived, there is nothing to check but someone’s memory.

Tahlib Rider Dispatch

  1. Order ready
  2. Queued
  3. Assigned
  4. Picked up
  5. On the way
  6. Photo & delivered

The queue fills itself from the kitchen. A rider can only carry one run at a time, so nothing is double-assigned. Every status change is time-stamped, and the rider photographs the drop before marking it delivered.

Your riders still know the city better than any software. You stop running them from your phone.

How it works

From the pass to the door

Set up your riders once; after that, the kitchen drives the queue.

  1. Add your riders

Name, phone, vehicle — bike, scooter, car or e-bike — and plate. Riders use the rider app in their phone’s browser, with nothing to install from a store.

  2. Riders go online

Riders switch themselves online in the app, and you can set anyone online, on break or offline from the dashboard.

  3. Orders queue themselves

When a delivery order is marked ready, a delivery joins the queue with its address. Nothing to re-enter.

  4. Assign in two clicks

Pick from the riders who are online and free. Their phone shows a “New delivery” notification.

  5. The rider works the run

Open the address in their maps app, call the guest with one tap, mark it picked up and on the way.

  6. Proof at the door

The rider app opens the camera; a photo is required before the rider can mark the delivery done, with an optional note.

  7. Read the day

Delivered today, the month’s average delivery time, and a per-rider count of delivered runs for any date range.

The board and the rider app refresh every five seconds, so nobody has to reload to see a new job.

What you get

Everything an in-house delivery team needs

Grouped by the job, not by the screen it lives on.

The dispatch board

The queue, the riders and the runs on one screen.

  • Unassigned, in progress, riders online and delivered today at the top
  • Riders grouped as available, on delivery, on break and offline
  • Assign from a picker of online, free riders
  • Move a run forward one step at a time
  • Refreshes every five seconds

Rules that prevent mistakes

Enforced by the system, not by the dispatcher’s memory.

  • One active delivery per rider at a time
  • Offline or inactive riders cannot be assigned
  • Status moves in order: queued, assigned, picked up, on the way, delivered
  • A finished run puts the rider back online automatically

The rider app

In the rider’s phone browser, no store download.

  • Online and offline switch for the rider
  • Today’s jobs and anything still in progress
  • Address opens in the phone’s maps app; guest phone is a call button
  • Order total and a status timeline on each job
  • A rider can only update the jobs assigned to them

Proof of delivery

Something to check when a guest says it never came.

  • Rear camera opens from the app
  • A photo is required before the rider marks the drop delivered
  • An optional note — “left at the door, called the guest”
  • Every status change time-stamped on the delivery

Connected

For teams with their own systems.

  • Delivery assigned, picked up and delivered sent as signed webhooks, with the Webhooks product
  • Delivered runs counted per rider for any date range
Rider app

An app your riders will actually use

Riders are on a bike with one hand free. The app is built around the four things they need to do, each a single tap.

New jobs find them

A “New delivery” notification arrives the moment you assign one, and the jobs list refreshes every few seconds while they are online.

Maps and the guest, one tap each

The address opens in whatever maps app is on the phone, and the guest’s number is a call button. No copying an address out of a message.

The right next button

Each job shows only the next step — mark picked up, mark on the way, mark delivered — so a run cannot skip ahead.

Done means photographed

Marking a drop delivered opens the camera first. No photo, no delivered — from the rider’s side.

Connected operations

Where deliveries come from

Dispatch picks up where the rest of Tahlib leaves off, so a delivery order is never typed in twice.

Where it fits

Who runs their own riders with it

Same board, different delivery operation.

Restaurants leaving the aggregators
Your own riders and your own ordering page mean no commission per order. Dispatch is the part that makes running riders manageable.
Cloud kitchens
Delivery is the whole business. A queue that fills itself from the kitchen keeps riders moving without a dispatcher on the phone.
Neighbourhood restaurants
Two or three riders covering a few kilometres. The board shows who is free at a glance.
Busy weekends
One run per rider and statuses that move in order mean nothing is assigned twice when the queue is long.
Owners handling complaints
A time-stamped run and a photo at the door — something concrete when a guest says the order never arrived.
Built here

The details that matter for UAE delivery

Written around how delivery actually works here.

Addresses as people write them

Villa, street, community — the address opens in the rider’s own maps app, where they can search it the way they always do.

Bikes, scooters, cars and e-bikes

Each rider carries their vehicle type and plate, so you know who can take the big catering order.

Phones, not handsets

Riders use the app in their own phone’s browser — no company devices and nothing to install from a store.

Alerts that reach the rider

A new run arrives as a notification on the rider’s phone the moment you assign it, so nobody waits by the pass for a shout.

Questions, answered

What owners ask before running riders on it

Do I have to create each delivery?

No. When a delivery order is marked ready, a delivery joins the dispatch queue with its address. You only choose the rider.

Does it assign riders automatically?

No. You assign each run from a list of riders who are online and free. Automatic assignment, batching several orders into one run and route planning are not in the product today.

Can I see riders on a map?

No. There is no GPS tracking or live map, and no estimated arrival time. The board shows each rider’s status and each run’s step.

Can the guest track the rider?

The guest’s tracking page follows the order — preparing, ready, on its way — not the rider’s position.

Can I see the proof-of-delivery photos?

The photo is taken and stored with each delivery, but viewing it from the dashboard is not available yet. A manager can also mark a run delivered without one.

Does it calculate or pay rider wages?

No. The payouts screen counts delivered runs per rider for any date range, which is the starting point for settling up — the settlement itself happens outside Tahlib.

What about cash on delivery?

The rider sees the order total on each job, but cash collected by riders is not tracked separately today.

Do riders need to install anything?

No. The rider app runs in the phone’s browser. Riders sign in with their own account, which you link to the rider in the dashboard.

Does it work in Arabic?

The rider app and the dispatch screens are in English today.

What does it cost?

It is priced per branch, per month, with a free trial — switched on and off from your dashboard. The pricing section above shows the current figure and what it drops to as you add branches.
